Fundraising and Events

Please support the work of the Dorset Blind Association by raising funds and awareness of our charity. Any money you raise for us really does make a huge difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted people in Dorset.
How your money can help - A little money can go a long way.
- £8.00 can support transport costs of two Home Visits to an isolated elderly person.
- £25.00 buys a large print Scrabble game to help a child improve language skills.
- £500 would help support our sight equipment service which makes our resource centre mobile and community based.
We can provide you with a Fundraisers guide which contains ideas for events, budget/planning forms, sponsor forms, paying in forms and a fact sheet about the charity. We can also help with posters, leaflets and other publicity material.
Events
We have a number of fundraising events which we plan across the county every year.
We are always looking for volunteers to help. So if you fancy giving us a hand or would like more information on our current events, please get in touch with the Community Fundraising Manager.

Do you use the internet? If the answer is yes you can help us raise funds in two simple ways.
1. SHOP ONLINE – if you use easyfundraising.org.uk to shop online with companies such as Amazon, Next , M&S, W H Smiths, Ebay – in fact over 2000 names, the online retailer will pay us up to 15% of the value of each order every time you shop with them, at no extra cost to you.
2. SEARCH ONLINE – easysearch.org.uk is a super search engine linked to Yahoo, MSN, Ask.com. The difference is you’ll raise £20 for DBA if you search up to 10 times a day. It’s free to register and costs nothing more to shop via easyfundraising and sometimes saves money.
