Young Person's Group in Poole
In 2007 a group of our visually impaired members joined together to form the Young People’s Group. Run mainly on their own, they meet fortnightly at the Lighthouse in Poole and have enjoyed several day trips to places such as the Russell Coates Museum, Kingston Lacy and Walford Mill not to mention bowling, sailing and trying their hands at willow sculpting.These get-togethers have enabled some of the group to impove their social skills and it has given some the confidence to want to do more socially on a day to day basis. Transport can often be provided to get people home from the group's meetings.
